Rachel Slade is a bundle of contradictions: She's an architect who believes the greenest building is the one that’s already built; a cranky design addict who deplores fads; and an avid environmentalist who needs — yes, needs — to travel (the “big toe” of her carbon foot print). Slade will explore the intersection of design, the urban condition, and the environment, with an occasional out-of-bound rant on a few of the thousands of things that get her dander up.
