About Those Dan Grabauskas Departure Rumors
We don’t like to circulate rumors. Largely because we saw that episode of Gossip Girl where the high school blogger was livid because people were using her to advance their own agendas with fake tips. And if anyone hates being manipulated more than the all-knowing Gossip Girl, it’s Boston Daily.
But late last week, a rumor circulated that was so juicy we couldn’t ignore it. Universal Hub linked to a blogger who reported that MBTA General Manager Dan Grabauskas will step down in January.
Curious, we asked MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo if it was true.
“I’m sure you’ll treat the credibility of a blogger’s rumor with the level of respect it deserves,” Pesaturo said in an email.
Of course we do. But for every few “Bristol Palin is really the mother of Trig Palin” story that circulates, there’s a Rathergate scenario where the bloggers are right.
So we asked Pesaturo (again) if that means Grabauskas was staying put.
“I’m sure you’ll treat the credibility of a blogger’s rumor with the level of respect it deserves,” Pesaturo said (again).
Well, that certainly clears it up.
