Amy Derjue Goes to City Hall
It’s been in the works for a few weeks, but Amy Derjue, late of this blog and all-around awesome woman, has officially joined up with new City Council President Mike Ross to be his Communications Director.
“I’ve gone to the other side,” Derjue says. “Officially.”
Derjue had been working for Ross at the end of 2008 as a consultant, but today marks her first day inside City Hall. “I’m really excited to work for him,” she says. “Mike’s going to be involved with a lot of things and I’m excited to be on board.”
We’re obviously thrilled for Derjue, and happy to have a source on the inside (kidding Mike, kidding). Derjue tells us that the one drawback for her is that she will abstain from blogging in her new post. Snark’s loss is Ross’s gain, however. Ross has promised a new online-friendly approach to his tenure as Council President and Derjue obviously knows her way around the series of tubes.
Congratulations, Amy.

Derjue is the illest. She will add some much needed funk to City Hall D’voidoffunk atmosphere.

Belated Congratulations. I’m sure you’ve settled down by now and are on your way to do some great work.
Don’t forget to enjoy life though. Life isn’t all about work.
